Ah i can smell the scent of pine and the way this flows with such descriptive lines in few syllables is impressive, i think iv read before a didactic by brian that hiku is an american type of haiku? Where it follows certain flow. Hmm. Im not sure because my memory is really crap. Anyhow i loved this. Congratulations

Your words paint a nice image of late autumn, Andrea, the scent completed the scene for me. Hugs, Bill

We have had a lot of wilting this fall because of lack of rain. I am wondering if your area is dry also. I enjoyed reading this one so thanks for sharing. I notice you said you do not like prunes. Have you tried apricots? They are very nutritious and are a little tastier. I have a recipe for prune cake which is good that you might could make so you could get the prunes. Thanks for dropping by my page. Sara K

The weather is finally giving way to The coming chill. It is the small things like pine scent that give us the signals of change and are even a small consolation at times. Take care. SuZ

I do appreciate this Haiku, Andrea. I was just noticing today the wilted flowers in our tree beds. I even wrote a couple of poems about them...haven't posted yet, though. Our house is filled with the scent of cinnamon...we both love that smell. Nice job, Andrea...hope you're feeling well today...have a pleasant evening, Sara

Hey there! A breathtaking image... Just wanted to say your title is mispelled; is it supposed to be Haiku instead of Hiku? Either way, it's lovely.

yes, it's haiku but Brian likes the term hiku for some reason, so I call them hiku when I enter them in a contest for Brian

they are calling them hiku if they are in a contest for Brian. That is how Brian refers to them, and I try to do what the sponsor likes. I really do not know why he favors that name
