Last Word Poetry - the Skylark

each morn when dusk bids farewell, hark hark natures batton, readies the dawn it's virtuosos, the skylark readies, too the daylighting morn from up high, led the dawn chorus unseen it does sing so loud, hark  the dawn chorus now inspired so loud a crescendo, all hark skylark did all as  required from up high, led the dawn chorus ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last Word Poetry Format: [1] 5 lined stanza’s, as many as you like. The fifth line of each the refrain, and must remain the same throughout the piece. [2] 2 stanzas minimum. [3] All lines in iambic tetrameter, including the refrain. [4] In the first line of each stanza the last word must be identical (LAST WORD), poetry. [5] Rhyming schemes: ABABC. AABBC, ABBAC

A delightful poem about a lovely bird and what a fascinating form Mick I struggle writing in iambic pentameter let alone tretameter ... its all Greek to me lol so I'll stick with my simple poetry:-) Thanks for all your comments and your recent poems inspired by my poetic endeavours :-) hugs jan xx

Thanks Jan, your right, it is a struggle to write with governing iambic meters, but I do like the challenge. I must confess, at the moment I am pushing my invention the Last Word, poetry form as it seems to have been accepted by Poetry Soup as a new form in iambic tetrameter, in as much as they are linking to it online. I will be asking the admin if they will add it to the list of poetry forms, we'll see what happens. Hugs, Mick

My apologies to all four who, prior to this comment watched me have a nightmare. Trying to show the dah DAH, dah DAH, dah DAH, dah DAH rhythm of the iambic tetrameter. All sorted now, coffee break!
