Last Round

LAST ROUND (POET DESTROYER)

I want to thank you, Gareth James.
For restraining your flames

I would give up my right arm
To write as beautiful as you
Words naturally flow with charm
A poet you are indeed.
A successor where the poets breed
Spitting your words, that stick like no other
Eating up your lines when I need to feed
A unique gift indeed
Moments when the heart intends to bleed
Words of comfort and glee
Guidance down the pen and paper path.
I walk, you lead.
Adding and subtracting the = signs in math

In less than two weeks at the soup
Finding my name all over this hot group
No hard feelings on my first haiku ever
Not even I thought it was clever

Sorry, it took a while.
Had another project to rhyme in style
Again I have to thank you, Mr. James,
For giving life to my name.
In my book, I am the Poet Destroyer.
In my heart yes! I am a Poet Supporter.
With No Shame

Thanks for the luck you wish upon me
Accept my apology for knocking you on round one and three
Keep holding up your flag
We both enjoyed the competition
No reason to give up or say, please
Let's just smile and say CHEESE !!!

This is it G.J. round
POET DESTROYER was here.

Thought I'd read a couple of your older poems - I think I've read all your recent ones. I'm sure there's a story behind this one -well crafted and intriguing piece, PD.

You have a beautiful style of writing. The style is quite lucid and sharp. Quite interesting Poem. Many thanks for your precious comments on Vasava. My late father was a great writer unfortunately some of his masterpieces could not be published during his life time. I am not only translating them but trying to rewrite themin english in order to make them more lucid. I would appreciate your critical comments as well. I am not in Kanpur pl wait 4 comm. Love and best wishes...Ravindra... PD
