In silence with a heavy heart, he ambles by the water's edge, lost in thought in the cool briny breeze. His footprints follow and shadow leads him
on the wet sand. He dregs a breath then exhales with a sigh.
Windswept in foggy dimness, hovering seagulls cry if mocking; he tries to block out their calls. Words on the page looked up, rejecting him.
The day before, he anxiously opened the mailbox. Thrilled to receive a letter from his love, but that didn't last long. He tore the letter open as he stood by the mailbox. His smile turned upside down into a frown as he read his last love letter; turned out to be a Dear John.
Once upon a time, Love. Two people fell in love. It was real true love. It should have been joyful and all about a wedding and celebration with music, but instead it ended up in heartbreak, grief, loss.
Folding, shaping the letter to look like a boat, then added a single, red sticky-sheet for a sail. Sitting on his knees lays the boat in the cerulean sea. Reached out giving the boat encouragement to move on. Mournful sunset dissolves into the tangerine horizon breast entrancing twilight.
