Each limb coiled like a serpent In his painting "The tree of life' His brushstrokes bare the naked truth of Adam and Eve In a garden where lies were conceived He captured a moment of bliss In an artistic expression entitled "The Kiss' which was in his gold leaf phase - Sensual imagery imbued his art Symbolic perceptions enhanced his style Metaphors with brushstrokes he did impart With seductive suggestions that some reviled 11-16-17

Joseph, Where are you from Bud. I being 81 now lifeguarded many lifetimes ago at Kershaw county park in Camden, sc. The director I worked for was named Carl May and he had a son who lifeguarded there with me. I don't know what the name was any more unusual than any other but just wondered if I had just made a somewhat long lost connection.

Joseph, beautifully penned, we have many Klimt art works at the art gallery in my city and I always find them fascinating. You depicted the kiss so well, best of luck in the contest ~

Alluring, captivating poem, Joseph. Ty for dropping the knowledge ... like Victor, I don't know a lot about great artists, which oddly is mystifying since my daughter is a very gifted artist. I learned quite a bit from this wonderful free verse poem, my dear friend. Love and joy always.

You wrote this well Joseph--Klimt became wealthy after death like most artists--the two you chose for your poem were among his best--good luck for a win!
