Kittens
Three kittens in my backyard did stray
With soft meows they beg to stay
For feral felines they seem quite tame
I gave each one a name
Each morning they greet me
Purring at my feet
Anxiously anticipating
Their delicious treats
Curious kittens run off to play
Finding adventure in each day
Chasing an elusive butterfly
As it goes fluttering by
