Kittens

KITTENS my fluffy kitten when she pounced on big cat i adored her they like to chase things things that tinkle or rattle so light and so swift into ev’ry thing sharp needle claws scratching shredded furniture they should make me mad but they are so innocent and they are so cute one thing is certain once they are inside your door they are there to stay

I knew you must have written a poem about those rescued kittens, ha ha, and what a cute and sweet poem it is too, I always say, if you do not want a cat, never ever pick it up, if you do, you are in trouble, my cats Violet and Pearl are snug as bugs, Pearl loves my in basket for some odd reason, it is very cold in Ottawa, Canada today~~

Mine are outdoor cats...due to allergies, but there are here to stay, too...all 5 of them. The 15 year old is allowed in on cold nights. It's kitty love! I enjoyed your poem. They are so amusing!!! Jumping, playing, flipping, chasing, pouncing...outside! Like the tinkle or rattle...

You really have a soft spot for kitties, Daver. You described their antics so well. I wonder what happened when the kitten pounced on "big cat." They do love to shred furniture and my experience with trying to trim their claws was dreadful, so don't even bother. I hope you are doing well, my friend. Love, Carolyn

I think you've captured kittens really well in this series of haiku, Dave and you are so right-- once they're in they definitely got their claws embedded in your heart ;) have a wonderful weekend :) -- nikko :)

Nice set of haiku. I just don't like the part where they scratch the furniture.
