It's pretty cold out there this time of year and I feel sorry for anything that has to forage for food. Nice job here and love the pic. God Bless, JB

Judy, I think sometimes how hard it must be for all animals to make it through the winter. Somehow some of them do. It would be nice if there was available food and shelter that they could depend on for fuel and protection. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Sara, Your imagery prompted me to think about the crows that live nearby and what happened when I passed a flock on the ground one summer day. When I returned home, they had all settled on the roof of my house as if to say, "You visited our home, now we are visiting yours." - Gail

Gail, Those crows are a very intelligent bird. I don't know why they visited you but you might be onto something. They are around here all the time but I hear them more in the spring and summer months. Your comment was very interesting. Sara

Lovely Haiku with great imagery Sara... in South India... we hear crow's caw a lot... here in North India, it's more of pigeons. Hugs ~ Ani .

Anitha, We used to have pigeons that found a home in our city. At some point someone relocated them away from the downtown. I like the sound of a pigeon but in some situations not too sanitary. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Supraja, Yes, I like their call. I don't hear them much in the winter maybe because I am mostly inside. I am sure they are still out early in the morning eating. I am delighted you stopped by. Sara

Caren, I like the sound of a crow's caw. They have a look out that warns those on the ground if trouble is around so they can fly away. They have good memory as well. They can be taught to say words like some other bird species. Your comments are valuable. Sara

Robert, Yes, I would like a nice spring but I am sure it was nice out today about mid-day for a few hours but we are in the south. Your visit is greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking time to read and comment. Sara
