Kissed By the Passing Breeze of Awakening Poetry Contest
Listen to poem:
Felt kiss so cold wakes me from sleep
Truth hides but words scratch out the scene
Walk on walk back the path is blocked
All love all laid upon hard floor
I'd be the one to stamp on this
Spiteful response to that cold kiss
I doubt myself it's me that's wrong
Blank mind forgive move on be strong
I don't matter but if I did
Then I deserve just this just this
Keep pace with plan it's for the best
Take heart off sleeve seal up in box
One life tick list of things you want
Though heart exists upon the breeze
Be kissed warm lips warm heart in love
Not cold blue print distant intent
I trust this way is for the best
Forgive the night I woke from sleep
Regret how I opened my eyes
Makes the night longer than the day
To dream those dreams then pack away
No end to night no breeze no kiss
Close eyes float on in dream I see
Where held in arms that love my soul
Box up that dream farewell my heart
Two halves of me one closed for good
Stare off to space whilst wish you grant
Don't hear when plead one wish I want
