Kindness
Glimpsed in the heart
Who smiles its promise, genuine
Hope, inspiring a lightness
Resembling the dreams of a life
Who sees the good, stirs grace
With gentleness, abiding sweet
Across the spirit, through the wish
Love overflowing – enthusiastic, a vision
Glistening in the tears, streaming
Over the life – small trickles
Brushing the thoughts with colors,
Hues of joy – hues of sorrow, a virtual promise
Remembering to lift the silence
With a song, praising and raging
Through the melancholic, doubts who
Try to hush the heavenly harps,
The music, rushing to dance on wings
Riding the clouds, the memories, the feelings
Erasing the dark – light that lives, alive
Glorifying the wonderful, His way
The only way for the heart, the soul
To know what it is to be true to this light,
This tender abiding peace, the lulling
Reason for believing – it is kindness
The gentle, the smiling, the compassion
On those who know He is there,
He cares – He is wisdom in the prayer
He is light – He is love – He is the kindness
From the One who blows in the breathe,
Stilling the anxieties, easing the shame –
Quelling the doubts and making a way….
His way is faithful, praising, amazing
His way brings a kindness that will never fade
It is alive, like the shining of the SON,
The shining of the SON… His kindness
Won’t ever fade – it will never weaken or wane
It is a kindness more alive than the heart
Who knows that He is…
The kindness that LIVES – the KINDNESS
That gives every heart a reason to show
Love this beautiful – love this pure and worthy
Love like this, Love that stills the fear….
This is a love that is forever kind, like the light
Shining in the eyes of those who know Him
As the kindness of God’s grace, the kindness
That lives in this place called the soul, where
He is living through all time, sharing His kindness
With the heart who knows – He is love! He is light!
He is the reason for my smile! His kindness quenches my thirst
For love that never grows old – love that is forever and always
Love that is His gift to everyone who knows Him as Savior!
