Keep Watching the Skies, If You Can
Lots of haze in the skies
Coupled by the haze in my eyes
Cataracts, damn it. Cataracts.
Trying to see some meteors
August is when they hit our shores
(Metaphorically speaking.
I know they don't hit any shores
and anyway, there are no shores
in Reseda, California.
It's just a clever way of saying
that my corneas are playing
havoc with my sight.)
But in spite of all that trouble
I still see some bits of rubble
flying through the air.
Now they may or may not be
part of Perseid's annual spree,
but they'll do for now.
