Just the Sound of Her Fallen Tears

Another Soul is in a Storm.
A choice was made for her unborn.
The Haunting Nightmares linger on.
 Relentless blame to overcome.
There is no Birthday not Today.
 Or ever be to celebrate.
No Gift wrap Presents to enjoy.
No Birthday Cake, Candles, or Toys.
Her heart is Crying out for Him.
"Forgive Me Son for I have Sinned."
An Unheard Voice She'll never hear.
Just the sound of her fallen Tears.

I'm ever so late on this trying to catch up, Michael, but sometimes i find it an advantage, the poem so sad yet beautiful, but the message so true,,But as i read this, i'm thinking of those poor children in Turkey and Syria trapped in the rubble and devastation.

Belated congratulations Michael on your POTD! Compassionate thoughts, Michael. But not all children are blessed with love. I've recently been reading about small children tortured and killed by parents. They surely would have preferred not to have been born!

What a tragedy Robert given life and then abused during their life by their own parents. So much darkness in this world for these children. What have we become as a society. I am glad I had decent parents they weren't perfect but they loved us and protected us. Thank you Robert for stopping by and as always an insightful comment...

The depth of feeling that you put into your poetry is astounding. What a moving and poetic way to describe the anguish you feel. So tragic, Michael; one can almost sense the anguish that those poor women went through. Congratulations on having your poem selected as the "poem of the day"...

I can't imagine what this woman is going through the guilt would eat a person up. I had a cousin who got pregnant and wasn't married and decided to give that child up for adoption and it just about killed her. It is one thing to give one up for a better life or to have a miscarriage and another to have an abortion. Thanks for sharing this point of view in this work. Our son is now in PT for his condition. We hope that the PT will make a difference in his semi-paralysis in his lower body. Sara

Michael this is a fantastic write - a topic of heated conversations and debates, hope her reasons her decision and finally her choice is appropriate and carefully spoken through with a partner or parents and finally the choice is legitimate. Otherwise she will unhappy, sad and blame herself forever. Congratulations my friend for a very poignant write which was honored and chosen for POTD. Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

Thank you Brandy. Some people believe that killing is the answer. They are lucky to be alive and lucky to have parents that made the right choice in bringing them into existence. These same people would want their life spared by their parents but they believe in killing their unborn. They do not want to give the unborn the same right that was given to them by their parents. I can never understand this train of thought. It borderlines Hypocrisy. Thank you for your kindness Brandy.

The poem is excellent but I must comment in support of Unseeking Seeker. As a retired psychotherapist, I have seen the results also of having an unwanted child. Do not judge until you have walked a mlle in my moccasins! Elizabeth

Righteous judgement we all do, for example if you see a a drunk driver hit and kill a pedestrian. You can judge and think that is wrong, and pass judgement on that drunk driver. Or if you see a murder commited between adults you can judge and say that is wrong. If you are in a trial on jury duty and you convict the perpetrator you have passed judgement and that is ok, but if you judge someone for the way they look that is different, or their ethnicity, that is wrong. I fear more my Gods judgement then walking in your your moccasins for a mile!

Elizabeth please do not worry about my judgement, for I feel for the Mother and the unborn. I am not judging I am stating a fact of how many women go through with termination and suffer the emotional trauma afterwards. As a psychotherapist I am sure that you know about the mother that terminates and later regrets and suffers from emotional trauma, you didn't mention those mothers in your comments as a psychotherapist. If a parent does not want the unborn they can relinquish the unborn to a loving family that would unselfishly love the child. Like you as psychotherapist I have seen the results of the emotional trauma that tens of thousands regrettably feel. There is such a thing... I like you in support of the Seeker, am in support of the twenty-one supporting comments for the sanctity of life...
