Just Let Her Go
Let her go
She tried to hurt you
Let her go
She tried to bleed you
Let her go
She tried to dent your ego
Let her go
JUST LET HER GO
She doesn’t deserve you
You are the sun
Blazing high in the sky
Devouring everything in your path
She is not even the moon
For she is unable to be
A mere reflection of you
You are the ocean
Boundless, strong, raging..FREE
She isn’t even the sea
Nor yet a stream
She is but a trickle
A trickle of a bad dream
You are a volcano
Shaking and quaking
Erupting with passion
Shooting out molten lava
That sears as it courses down
She isn’t even the ash
That you spew out of your mouth
You are the giant sequoia
Firmly rooted
Standing your ground
Withstanding storms
Proud
She isn’t even a branch
Let alone a twig
Dying to hold on
To cling to the tree
You are the mountain
Rising majestically
Piercing the sky
She isn’t even a tiny hill
No, she is a valley
A hidden valley of shame
That sun disdains to reach
To touch….to kiss
To bless with warmth and light
LET HER GO
LET HER…….GO!!!
Don’t let her color your tomorrow
Don’t let her breathe in your yesterday
Don’t give her the pleasure of knowing
She has bruised you
Used you
Abused you
DON’T
Please….DON’T!
Please, my dear friend
Precious and priceless
A living breathing feeling treasure
Yes, YOU
JUST LET HER GO!
Only then can you embrace
The one who comes to you
Softly
Gently
Who will love you
Truly
Surely
Fiercely
Passionately
With sheer abandon of heart and soul
One who will laugh at yesterday and mock tomorrow
For her love is not hemmed in by time
No, it’s divine
The woman of your dreams
Who has heard your silent screams
Awaits…
Open your arms
And let her come!
