Some airlines allow a small pet To stop folk from getting upset But a ‘comfort horse’ Isn’t par for the course I’d challenge this airline’s mindset! I’m allergic to animal fur Of kitties who meow and purr It would drive me insane If pets were on my plane I wonder do others concur! 2/19/20 https://news.sky.com/story/miniature-horse-called-fred-travels-first-class-on-american-airlines-flight-11937051

G'day Jan … I've got a very comforting ten foot python here. How do you think I'll go? I enjoyed your limericks Jan. Certainly food for thought - Lindsay

Jan, Why not if it relieves stress. I need the emotional support of a giving, caring crocodile, complete with smile. Plus he's hypoallergenic. -Richard

It's funny how they don't have peanuts on flights anymore - because of allergies! - but a companion horse is OK (and I love horses)

It's a crazy world lol:-) of course this story is going to open up the flood gates to more bizarre creatures going as 'comfort pets' :-( hugs Jan xx

Unless your pet, cat or dog, fits in your pocket and its cage under your seat, and id quiet, fine. Otherwise they end up in the cargo area. I've read where animals have frozen to death at those altitudes! Plus animals, like humans, must get certain shots depending on the countries they are going to – all of this isn't cheap. Yout two limericks were well written, Jan. / M

i totally agree with you, jan, no matter how cute the pets are! i wrote a poem about someone bringing a peacock on a plane a while back, which i found totally ridiculous. your poem is great!

It beggars belief what some consider to be a comfort pet .... I read the peacock had been refused a seat - I wouldn't allow any animals except in exceptional circumstances like for blind or deaf, that sort of medical need. hugs jan xx

There should be a limit on what pets people can bring, Nicely expressed Jan

I wouldnt get on if they had pets on - couldnt afford to get asthmatic from the fur - I don't go near horses or some dogs and cats - weird cos we had a cat when i was growing up and i was fine but I always used to get wheezy when we went to stay with my mum's pen pal in Holland - they had a cat:-( hugs Jan xx

A horse on a plane, what next, what if he bolted in panic, don't bear thinking about. Hope you had a great time Jan. Tom

The corona virus kills tourism, but I quite agree with you as I don't like by accosted by pets in a lift, and find it bloody ludicrous to be stuck by one for a 7-hour flight to the mainland! Happy to see you are back in form! Aloha! Rico

Thanks Rico it's amazing what folk are trying to get onto planes as comfort pets... I've read of a peacock and a squirrel being refused ... but a pony is acceptable - it beggars belief and just imagine the smell any pooping or weeing animal would make - yeuk I am glad they dont allow it in the uk! ! I've been away for a while (no animals on the flights lol) but back now:-) hugs Jan xx

I don't blame you Line - just come back from a break in Madeira - the airports have been frantic especially after recent storms in the uk. :-) hugs Jan xx
