Just Be Happy With the Skin You'Re In
What makes us act the way we do?
Is it something buried deep in our genes?
Programmed to live our whole life through
Never able to alter the scene?
Are we all merely here to play a role?
That's been predetermined by fate?
Can we redirect the path we're following
If we're heading for a life second rate?
Don't get me wrong, my life's been great
There's nothing I'd really like to change
Perhaps a little more stability would be nice
Might just find it a little strange
Everybody thinks it would be better “if”
But “if” has certain strings attached
Shouldn't go there, the results could be bad
Stay on the path that's mapped
Just be happy with the skin that you're in
It will take its twists and turns
If you really try hard to live a joyous life
Happiness is yours in return
