Just a Note - Manners

We should teach our children basic manners before they learn to count and read. Not everybody will grow up to own a smart brain, but anybody can live to build up a good character and be respected for it.

I LOVE this, Charma. It ought to be put in a textbook on social ethics or something! SEVEN

Wise words indeed Charma and I know from meeting your lovely daughter how beautifully she has been brought up:-) I recently heard a discussion about this topic on on the radio - they said schools should teach children manners ... yes in a way but they should be backing up what is taught at home ... the earlier the learn the better:-) hugs Jan xx

It would seem these days, manners have been put on a shelf. Showing respect for yourself and others will open more doors than any other action. Love the poem, Charmaine:)

Like I said earlier, Amen. I think manners should be taught at a young age. Children need to learn to show respect and kindness to all. A big 7: )

Oops sorry..If I missed your earlier comment...I will go look at it..Thanks for reading my simple note...Tim..Yes I do believe Manners and values are as important as knowledge ,Mathematics and any other subject or more. Not all of us will be lucky to get a degree..but all of us can be lucky to be admired for being a person pf character...Tnks again for always supporting my poetry.

It would be doing them a disservice as a parent do to any less. Kindness and manners speak much more loudly than book smarts ever could. Such a beautiful note Charmaine.
