It may hurt at first, but in the long run it will be better. I'd rather people tell me the truth to start with, so they don't have to revise their statement later! Sometimes simply lending an ear (without words) is also a plus. Great wisdom, Charmaine

Now that really is a great statement, and looking at the list , only a couple DARE comment in a negative was , so as to help...tut tut ...i spy those that would not hear of criticism.... ( i am the only person with balls enough to say when something needs looking at ,) i have informed many that they have made an error, and been quite disapointed that the 10 people who SUPPOSEDLY read the poem, didnt see it themselves .... and inform the poet? .. maybe skimming keeps the peace ,... nice write x

I have unblocked you. You are right that you can be soup mailed now the day I went to mail you the option was not showing. Trust me I would have much rather mailed you. My daughter is 23 years old and unfortunately fighting the scourge of addiction. In rehab I have met many of her beautiful friends male and female who prostitute themselves to feed their addictions. I was speaking to that topic because of its sad consequences. I am deleting the poem. If you see as child abuse then I have failed to make my point. You were the only one who stated he had that interpretation so I assumed the lack of picture and the title had fed into your interpretation clearly I was wrong. As I said the poem is now deleted. My aim is never to offend and I thank you for your feedback. You should speak out against what was your interpretation. I am sorry we have had this misunderstanding. I hope we are good now. Firstly my name is Armand. So hello! Secondly my poem was written from a picture. Unfortunately when a poem is chosen poem of the day the picture does not show. The title was referring to a young woman who somehow ended up in the business of prostitution. It was meant to be ironic "A Child Playing In The Dirt". Since I realized one could not see the picture the irony of the title became confusing. I only blocked you because what you suggested I was writing in your comment is illegal. I would never ever, ever write about child pornography. I take no offence to your remark personally and if you would like to delete it. I wish you nothing but love. I tried to SoupMail you but you do not have that option on your profile. Please read the poem again. If it still offends you I will be happy to delete it. I am sorry for our misunderstanding.

Good write, my dear. There is a fine line between giving good advice and hurting someone in the process. I know you know what I mean. The Bible says in Psalms...The WOUNDS of a friend can be TRUSTED. Sometimes...it's necessary to say things that may hurt, but the eventual goal is to uplift...and not tear down. Hugs

Yes. Eileen... Telling the truth and putting down a friend are completely different indeed. The eventual goal of a friend should always be to see his/her friend happy in the end I'm with you. Sometimes in life I am in situations that I have a choice ,or to be silent,or to be sweet in his eyes,or to be true..Its not always easy to choose what to do..True is my first pick,Silent at times is chosen too,but hopefully I ll never choose to be nice in his /her eyes yet untrue.. Its a wee bit cold out here by this telephone pole, not sure I am in the right spot, even I see some trampoline parts strewn on the road! HELP!!!!
