Just a Little
Just a Little
A little bit of sugar goes a long way in our time.
It melts thick ice to let us know that everything is fine.
With a little bit of sugar, you can turn a world around.
Put a smile on a face and turn a frown upside down.
With a little bit of sugar, you can soothe a raging mind,
who in your voice of sweetness, a quiet peace does find.
With a little bit of sugar, you can change a really bad day,
by thinking happy thoughts or doing things another way.
This little bit of sugar can’t be found in any bowl.
It’s the quality of humanness, a value more than gold.
This little bit of sugar has been our gift a while.
It’s the joy we brought to someone, on giving our first smile.
