Just a Boy

Just a boy 16/12/20 he's just a boy with his heart in one hand and a cigarette in the other. this boy is surreal, everything has its place, his life a state of organized chaos. he's broken but perfectly so. emotions flood like a tidal wave, each word crashing, threatening to drown. he's inescapable, everywhere but nowhere, impossible to catch. he's pain, with biting words and cutting glances. but he is just a boy. he's safe, a cave in a howling storm, an island in the middle of the sea. he's love, his heart true, pried open and waiting. he is fire, his touch drawing flames, his eyes live coals. but he is just a boy. he's sand slipping through fingers, a man lost to time. he is a memory, a line to a forgotten song, the painful part of nostalgia. he's just a boy.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
