June's Pride
June's summer haze a craze on lazy days,
while memory plays to bring back youthful ways,
of swimming fun and splashing in the sun,
downtime of none until the day is done.
So, let’s keep cool because there’s no more school
and as a rule, June’s fire warms up the pool.
Orange moon of June soon moves and proves
folks choose to share good news not winter blues.
June’s pride is leaves so green they vanish trees,
with pleasing tease of a soft zephyr breeze
and hotter heat that has sweet Springtime beat,
the joy of ice cream treats and beach chair seats.
A happy time when two might say, "I do,"
or caps and gowns of things renown conclude.
June’s sunny side's where pleasures do reside,
a summer place that wears a face of pride.
