July An Open Verse

speckled starlings sing with delight   swarms in nuptial flight. swallows circle in storm clouds low, a foraging airshow ,to and fro. basil spreading six feet tall by freshwater trickling small summer hums     with mowing roots of grasses           strech &struggle shimmering haze       highlights  impressions of   windblown seed where     host of insect breed as     boundless days       roll into one           ticking afternoons to sleep all life lives in the moment
