vast is my world much larger is my heart thanks to your sister, your brother, and you I feel lifted, I am ready to start what I hope and pray lasts an hour or two you called this morning to insist I rise my lovely child the middle one of three sleep has gone, some lingering in my eyes the care in your voice so soothing to me yes there are tasks you and I must perform the years and challenges of life abound still I reflect on the day you were born you were welcome then, you are welcome now promise this ritual will never end a daughter, a father the best of friends

Dear Ricky, it has been a while since I've immersed myself in your soulful voice and poetry, and it feels so good to visit and read/hear your exceptional poem today.. Indeed, children do grow our hearts! I adore the strength of love conveyed in every line and the appreciation expressed for this precious gift of love, "a daughter, a father the best of friends" - such a grand finale to an exquisite piece full of emotion. By the way, my second child's name is Julianna and her nickname is JuJu too! :)) I see you've not posted in a while, and your poetic presence is missed, my friend.
