Judge the Poem

A colorful tapestry is every life Painted in shades of fun and strife. Every vivid shade of a bright tomorrow Enhanced in depth by hues of sorrow. Therefore it is every writer's goal To explore the depth of mankind's soul. Writing about the good, the bad or indifferent Does not define his personal temperament. To write about politics, abuse and shame Religion, the crippled or the lame, Is merely painting with different color hues And does not always express personal views. So when we try to answer the why Of all the things we try, we die, we cry, Remember that we are gloriously free It's not imperative that we all agree. So when you visit this wondrous site Only read that in which you can delight. Although I'm sure you already know it Please judge the poem and not the poet.

is'nt a shame when your best work only gets four comments? this piece is fantastic the lines the ideals. and i'm sure that as you come back to it there is that feeling of glory that theses words are yours. not to worry, i've seen it and judged it worthy to go to my favs. not because it's you, but because of the poem. I certainly agree with the theme in this poem. There are times when a distinction must be made regarding the speaker in the piece. The poem is normally about a situation and not the speaker depending on the voice and point of view used. Great job! ~Joseph
