Joyful Laughter and Soulful Weeping
JOYFUL LAUGHTER AND SOULFUL WEEPING
I hear the joyful laughter of two beautiful children
As they romp and play out in the yard
I hear delightful squeals of 'you can't catch me'
Even though they try real hard
I hear them softly whisper I love it here with PePa
He's so much fun to be around
I wish we didn't have to go back home
If only we could hide and not be found
Until it's time for us to go to bed
Have him say our prayers and tuck us in
We could sleep and dream sweet dreams
I really would like to stay with him
I hear the sound of my heart beating
Deep within me, filled with pain
As I sit here soulfully weeping
Knowing I'll never see them again
Never to hug them and hold them near
I've been forbidden and know not why
So I hear the sound of my own weeping
As I face each day and cry
But one day I'll cease my weeping
Not another tear will stain my face
I'll be reunited with them in Heaven
To share eternity in that wonderful place
