Joy Is Worth the Wait - Psalm 30: 5b
Life takes many a turn or two
at the time it feels to be all bad
but there's always tomorrow to come
wishing that to be before going mad
The darkness of night seems so long
moment by moment it increases so
inside it feels for ever long
time moves but for ever slow
One feels emotionally all mixed up
it's so difficult so full of tears
these liquid drops send a cry
heard on high promising no fears
Stand on high with hopes raised
looking forward to spiritual joy
morning shall come with sweetest dew
the Lord sends His love fully praised
Last nights memories faded away
a new day's joy is right on cue
God's goodness is so merciful
joyful blessings upon you ever new
("Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.")
Psalm 30: 5b (ESV)
