Joy Has a Reason
The branches creak and squirrels scurry
Hopping over snow patches in a hurry
One looked in the window, with curiosity
As the wind brushed its back with velocity
Blue skies play tricks it is warm
But the air is cold, nature likes to perform
Bare trees hold their strength through autumn after loss
For winter will soon come and show who is boss
Still the wind chimes play, every season
For joy has its way for a reason
