Awareness
Self-aware
Witnesses
Each tremor
That arises
And subsides
In our heart
To resurrect
In another form
Conjured by mind
Impulsed by ego
That captivates
Our attention
Anchoring it thus
In bubbles of illusion
To which we cling
Although recognising
Their transience
Whereupon one day
We choose to exit
This game of shadows
Opting for, shifting to
Continuum of silence
Vibrant and aglow
In the cave of our heart
Where God in-dwells
Awaiting the return
Of His prodigal son
Who has now awaken
From hypnotic slumber
