Journey

At ten the road is seldom marked. Mile markers are closer at ninety. The road of life is long or short, depending on where you are. The in between is often seen with crystalline clarity and purpose. Living graciously is being serene just to be where you are. Spring seems so much brighter when you waltz in the rain. The songs of life are lighter with dreams of where you are. Summer teems with heavier thoughts that steal the dreams of yesterday and fuel the guilt-laden sun spots to spell you from where you are. Pay attention as soon Fall sparks a healing breath of beauty and color. The quiet before stormy skies marks the environment where you are. When Winter blows bold bright cold and whisks away your impermanent place, it apportions it to a younger soul. So acquiesce to be where you are.
