JANIS Janis; was a rock and roll singer A real hard times, living swinger The sex and drugs, took its toll Before long, that youth was old But; all her songs still sang out Her vocals; were never in doubt Sang with a soul, that is insane Her vocals she couldn't restrain Her emotions, so raw and open She gave it her all, until broken She died alone; in a hotel room As from heroin she did exhume Janis; was a rock and roll singer A real hard times, living swinger Indiana Shaw . . . : (

You pretty much summed her up here, Indiana. Janis sure could belt out a song, couldn't she?... Unfortunately she could belt down the whiskey and shoot up the heroin too... ~ B.G. (Bobby McGee)

I think Janis did for whiskey, Gerson, what Alex Ferguson did for chewing gum, except he lasted longer . . . ; )
