It's You - It's Me

It's you ...

alone in a drenching rain floating
thoughts taking flight a wondrous
sight flowers staking hold stitched
in the fabric of your soul dripping
to the floor where the heavens met
your shore and that look I adore
eyes lost amongst the periwinkle
time stalls but the beads still fall
   --where hope stands
   --she paints her songs
on charts of stone skipped along
and the ripples remind you of me

It's me ...

hiding behind the sun in a place
I often run where shadows are friends
and comfort never ends or begins
to let me breathe the words falling
off the love trapped on my tongue
longing to be the one where beads
are only wrapped in promise rings
and a love letter necklace draping
dripping parchment notes in red
     --until the end
     --I'll bleed my songs
on charts of stone skipped along
and the ripples remind me of you

Not only is this amazing poetry, I love when I can see from where inspiration came, and I couldn't agree more on that! Being inspired is something that build bonds, that cant be broken.

Both have the same feelings yet afraid to commit. You're hiding behind shadows while she's drench in rain... Take her hand and let your love lead you to happiness :) absolutely beautiful! So out you go Tim, and skip your way to her... hugs :)

I read this twice and came to realize that you are both in need of a hand to hold, so I propose that you stop hiding behind the sun and let her see you in the light. She'll no longer be alone in the rain, and neither will you. Those separate sets of ripples will then be one when you share the same stones. A great, thought-provoking write, Tim.

Absolutely amazing, the two parts of the poem are so juxtaposed, yet contradict. And the last lines of both poems ripple together. Wonderful my friend :)
