It's Raining For Someone Too Lonely
It's raining for someone too lonely
and that heart-broken one is me;
even mockingbirds have stopped singing,
sad are the yellow leaves falling.
I should look for sunshine,
remembering the joy I felt inside
when we walked along that path
leading to another glorious sunset....
there we found our serenity
as stars shone happily.
It's raining for someone too lonely
and that heart-broken one is me;
can I hold tears back and be strong,
can I find any comfort in this song?
I shouldn't be greeting loneliness,
but break away from it with cleverness
and find two trembling lips longing for kisses;
I shouldn't fear shadows that hide pretty eyes,
forgetting that I believed in your lies,
in your charms that deceived me twice.
It's raining for someone too lonely
and that heart-broken someone is me;
I reach out for tenderness,
for eyes filled with sweetness.
