Its Own Chosen Parts

Sort of like stubbing one's toe, if you dare to love a bruise can form~ a deep rosy shadow in response to your amorous sunning – love burns both inside and out take lots of lotion if you have such notion exposing the heart to elements like, who can really predict the weather, an educated guess at best? so, who can predict whether with love one is or not to be blessed? Though God, the starter and stopper of human hearts – when it comes to romance, in the theater of love~ pray, as you may but Love seems to insist on writing and performing only its own chosen parts....

In love there can be bruises and heart aches .... as well as excitement and joy. No one can predict what outcome it is going to produce. Love is never easy as we conceive. Joe your advice to take 'lot of lotion', brought a smile to my face.

Love is not as easy as all that, as you have said. Two hearts must be on the same page and the circumstances must align…so interesting.

I have come to the conclusion that, Love can be quite complex~ which is a nice way of saying, screwed-up. Thank you, Kim.

In my case I need love, that doesn't have perfect vision, doesn't insist on perfect key and pitch...and can imagine bushy, wavy hair on a cue ball:) Thank you, Rose.

Cleverly Written Joe ! Yup, love is tricky for sure. lt can mend a heart or break it. lt gives pleasure when its love you're making ..... when it leaves it can start your heart aching. Loved your poem.

We need to write another Country Song here, lord knows there is enough heartache to fill any jukebox. Do they still use them in bars? Thank you, Wendy, for a great comment.

I am no expert – in fact, when it comes to poetry the reader must sense searching and urgency. Most anyone can write a good poem, but passion and pulse are what turn a poem into poetry. The writer must develop in the reader a sense of invested emotional interest – so then the reader participates beyond the words, having become living expandable theme for the mind and heart. Poetry, like bible must be ambulatory, breathing text – rivers feeding oceans of thought and relatable feelings. The poem can be fact or fantasy, truth only in relationship to honesty.

I admire your stance on accepting anything, good or bad. So long as a poem is in the offing.

Making hamburger out of tough steak. We do our best, not always good enough for the editors and critics...but, I hope, good enough for God.

Interesting and nicely written thoughts on the lottery of love. Take lots of lotion if you have such notion. Unrequited love is hurtful but it’s a chance worth taking. Thank you for this

Hi Peter; yes, indeed, inspired by your thoughtful comment on my last work. What the heck, after all is said and done, any chance is worth a poem -- and sometimes one is a life-long winner. Blessings my friend!
