It's Just a Game Or Is It

It was Halloween night, and me and my friends were playing Ouija by candlelight; soon, every creak in the house gave me a fright, the whole evening my growing fear I had to fight. We said our goodbyes at midnight, and I blew out the candles and walked up two flights; in my bedroom, I looked in the mirror, gosh I was pale white, I got in bed- but left the lamps on bright. Oh yes, I was freaked out not a little but quite, in time, I fell asleep . . . never felt the vampire bite. ____________________ October 12, 2017 Poetry/Monorhyme/It's just a Game or is IT Copyright Protected, ID 17-949-184-01 All Rights Reserved, 2017, Constance La France Written for the contest, Boo (2017) sponsor, Alexis Y, First Place Submitted to the contest, Halloween Fright Night (old or new) sponsor, Carolyn Devonshire First Place

Playing with a Ouija board can make a person more sensitive to the "sights and sounds" they hear. Great scary poem, Constance! Congratulations on a first-place win! Best wishes, Carolyn

Ah yes, the vampire's bite, those are quite the dangerous ones, would she drink any of the vampires blood and become one herself? Those are frightful things those Ouija Boards are, I don't really believe that they work except through the ones holding it, though I have seen them move without anyone touching it...so I'm a little afraid of them! Great write about that, What a fabulous poem this morning, Awesome Work!!
