Notes About The Poem

It's Just a Game

These Limericks were written after playing a card game called Poo Pocalypse... don't ask or I'll blame it on Jan...lol
History recorded leaders in wars Great men and women: their whys and wherefores Napolean Bona-fart A short French dude, a sweet tart Whose stinky stench exuded from his pores A female consort weighed too many stones From scarfing down ice cream in waffle cones Mary, the Queen of Plops Upon her butt she flops In the castle, her toilets were her thrones There was a barbarian, years ago In battles much blood was sure to flow Nasty crap from the buns of Atilla the Runs More deadly than arrows from a crossbow King from the Plantagenet dynasty was not given time for his toiletry That was terribly absurd for England's Richard the Turd It was an invasion of privacy Troubled was the one who made great magic There was one known to have gas... how tragic The Great Harry Poodini Had powers of a genie But subduing farts, he didn't know Jack! Peeking in windows is an evil deed One pervert, whose weakness he did concede He's known as 'Pooping Tom' With coolness and aplomb Watching people crap is his craving need

Erm… I think you may now be the western world’s enemy number one, Lin. I would offer you a hideaway in my dungeon… but you insulted Richard The Turd… I mean ‘Third’. Your only salvation lies in the fact that you didn’t call him Dick The Shit….. Seriously(?) Lin, a real fun bunch of clever limericks… thoroughly enjoyed. Terry

hmmmm... now perhaps I should write another Limerick or two to include Dickie Boy. Thanks for your warning and offer of sanctuary, Terry.

Lin, a great collection of hilarious limericks, made me laugh. Is that a real game?

Yes, it's a real game, and fun to play. There are many other cards just as hilariously as these. Thanks, Tania.

Dear Lin, your limericks inspired by the card game Poo Pocalypse are hilariously creative and wonderfully absurd! The playful rhymes and witty wordplay add a delightful twist to historical figures and characters, turning them into humorous caricatures. I loved your clever incorporation of bathroom humor into each verse brings a lighthearted and entertaining vibe to the poem. Thank you for sharing these amusing and inventive limericks—they certainly bring a smile to the face! - Blessings, Daniel

omg Lin I wish I had seen this game lol. A hilarious string of poems - not sure why you are 'casting nasturtiums' on my good name in your quote - as if I could influence you ha ha ha lol wish I had thought of these! hugs Jan xx

When I saw the names on those cards, I immediately thought of you! Nasturtiums would never hurt you, Chick. Thanks.

This is quite random Lin, just out of the blue a string of poop Lim’s, some nice play on famous names here, you forgot Nefartiti, but that was a long time ago lol! But hard to beat Napoleon Bone-a-fart, A strange coincidence I only watched the Insane Apocalypse Now the other night, Brando is brilliant in it, he actually recites a poem during the madness (not a Lim) lol, cheers David

He was some piece of work Tom, Kurtz was driven over the edge by the insanity, but he seen it as a brutal truth, even allowing himself to be butchered at the end, that really is a stirring piece of poetry in itself, Brando ad libbed a lot of his lines, incredible!

KURTZ: I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor, and surviving. […] We must kill them. We must incinerate them. Pig after pig, cow after cow, village after village, army after army. And they call me an assassin

It's an actual card game I played on my last family visit to Florida. The names were too good to pass up without using them in Limmies. Thanks, Tom.
