It's a Squirrels Life
I named her Jumpy, she is my new friend
Just when having a pet came to an end
I have a balcony with a black rail
No wood to chew on, or shingles to fail.
Each morning she visits me for a bite
Eats Seed Munch in a basket at first light
Climbs up to my third floor to say Hello
Then back again for a bite at last glow.
They say pets are good for a healthy life
Their antics can lower worry and strife
Can’t let this one in, or cuddle with her
At least my pillows aren’t covered with fur.
She’s just what the doctor ordered for me
Makes me laugh each day and lives in a tree!
