Light appeared on a blank canvas, an empty void that we call space. There were no galaxies or stars, only an ebony abyss. Though it is hard to comprehend, light appeared on a blank canvas. Prior to that, the universe that we know never existed. Darkness was all-encompassing before the universe took form. Light appeared on a blank canvas upon which God inked creation. Responding to the word of God, the Big Bang came into being. At the birth of the universe, light appeared on a blank canvas.
