It Rained on Me

It rained on me in the dry season.
Season jacketing me with dust,
Dust absorbed my real hope.

Hope fractured in time,
Time unendingly discolored my soul.
Soul pleaded for light.

Light died in startling grief.
Grief engraved my title.
Tittle that got lost to the wind.

Wind screamed through pain.
Pain that basted my skin,
Skin that wore the rain.
