It Is Monday

It’s Monday! I yell “Hooray! Hooray!” The end of a vacation, another work day. The rest of the family looks a little bit gray. They are apparently not feeling exactly this way. It’s Monday! I holler, saying it loud and clear. It’s Monday! It’s Monday! Monday is here! The rest of the workers are living for five o’clock beer. They see me and cringe as I come closer, so near. It’s Monday! I say to the boss, isn’t it fine? Sure, she replies. You have met our deadline? I don’t even remember it, but I lie fast with pizazz. Maybe Monday came too quickly I think with less jazz.

Ha, ha! I enjoyed every moment of this poem, as I was always happy to start teaching on Mondays... And as for where this poem went at the end, great finish. :) gw

I'd have been scared to death to show that kind of enthusiasm on Monday morning. In parts of America people get lynched for such shenanigans! Oops!

Hahaha I know what you mean, but I am fearless on Monday because I have had two days to relax!
