It Hurts

It hurts doesn't it?
Seeing into the past
Never looking in the present
and too afraid of the future
It's painful, isn't it?

Could you try to understand?
Why he left me
Why they never notice me
Why she gives in too easily
You don't want to understand

It hurts, doesn't it?
You cannot change the past
you won't change the present
and there's no future
It's painful, isn't it?

Want to kill some time?
I don't mind
I'm lonely, I don't want this
I'm broken, I don't need this
I'm lost, I don't like this
Want to kill some time?
Take a drive somewhere?
I don't mind

Could you try to understand?
Why you left me
Why they left me
Why she never notices me
...I give in too easily
Don't try to understand
There's nothing worth knowing

It hurts, always and forever
Haunted past
Lonely present
damned future
It's painful, it always was

It hurts
It's painful
Can you understand?
Don't try
Don't cry
It's over
It's not worth knowing
It hurts
