Written for the picture prompt contest sponsored by Joseph May, i love the picture of the island. It actually looks like Maldives. Thought of one of the islands that I used to swim to, to collect seashells with my family...

Seagulls serenade the salty air, 
as serene clusters of dreams~
weave poetry with palm leaves. 
There, waves whisper exotic love,
ferrying memories of an island.

The imagery in that first line is made more beautiful by your use of alliteration. Oh, to be in a place where waves whisper exotic love. Wonderful write.

Dearest Inky! This is a rapturous song of summer - a "serene," "serenade" of "salty air" and the sound of "palm leaves." While I didn't get to swim to a beautiful island, my family had a summer house on an island where I would swim to a raft, look for seashells and pick blackberries with my grandmother! Whatever you write on sea and island sound exotic. Being born in Maldives, you breathe the salubrious salty air and in love with the swaying palm fronds, the gliding seagulls and the cast out seashells. A lovely five liner dear Empress. Into my FAVE.

Lovely imagery! I did live near the coast when I was growing up. In the desert for the past 30 years, though beautiful in its own right, I miss the sea often. Blessings my friend.

Oh my , haha it is prohibited by law to eat turtles here as they are protected, but yes iv heard turtle soup is good for health: alot of asians love it, especially singaporeans and indonesians.

Awn haha, i love snorkelling too. Recently went snorkelling in rough seas and found a shark and a turtle, Swimming near me. I love turtles
