Is It Over

"is it over" I don't see your eyes the look of love from you I don't hear your voice the sound of love for me I don't feel your touch the sense of love for us is it over or can the light begin anew anew that brought us together back when back when all senses colored our world let me see your eyes from that first glance let me hear your voice from your first whisper let me feel your touch from our first embrace is it over or can the light begin anew anew with passion that was always there there to have to hold to keep forevermore SkyWatcher 09-03-22

This one leaves me a little confused as i can only guess why 'is it over' I feel a sadness as I read it but if love was present, it can be re-kindled, depending on the nature of the problem of course. Dear Jennifer Hi. So nice to see you. Yes it has been a long time. I seem to come and go and I don't seem to be consistent with being active do to my own health or taking care of my mom. With this entry I thought I would turn the tables and write of a faded love because I usually write of love that is present (smile) It is wonderful to see your name once again. Lisa such an interesting thought provoking poem. I think a struggling question for many empty nesters….kids leave home, retirement and relationship in a state of “is this it” as it lacks all that your poem mentions. Can it be rekindled or not?? Enjoyed your poem a great deal my friend. Debx
