Is It June Or October

Today was my shopping day,

my once a week day to go out.

I could not believe my eyes,

as I went down the grocery aisle.

Did I just see a big cow,

at the end of the aisle?

Are my eyes deceiving me,

I ran to the next aisle to see this big cow.

Right in front of me a big cow,

as I rubbed my eyes yes a big cow I did see.

A shopper in cow pajamas she did wear,

with black furry slippers.

It is not October,

not a time for costumes.

I laughed until I cried,

then I did my shopping.

At home no one believed me,

guess you needed to see it to believe it.

After all who could believe a big cow,

shopping down the grocery aisles.

It is June,

have people gone crazy.

Thanks for writing. I am so glad you believe this story because it is true. At another store. This mother a grown daughter got out of their car in their PJ's and fluffy slippers. The world has gone mad/crazy. Have a blessed day..................

Ahem, you're not supposed to drink the vodka until you get home, Paula. Actually, thinking back a few years, we had a chap who used to walk the streets in full Nazi uniform including holster (which I presumed was empty). So maybe it is everyone else who’s lost the plot. Fun write, Paula. Terry

Thanks for writing. I was not drinking. A drink may have made it better. Glad you like this crazy but true write. When I was young, people did care how they looked when they went out of the house. The world has gone crazy. Have a blessed weekend..................

In short, Paula, yes some have. You can see anything these days in your local Walmart. I try to avoid them. Enjoyed your poem.

Thanks for writing. Yes, we see everything these days when we go shopping. People did care how they looked when they went out of the house. It is like watching a crazy world in real time. Have a blessed weekend..................
