Into the Sunlight
Twilight falls to a rising moon
And then slowly fades to black
Swallowing everything in an ebony cocoon
Not holding anything back
The stars come out to do their part
Twinkling all through the night
But ebony is not yet ready to depart
Awaiting its transformation into light
Then dawn arrives, and none too soon
And something glows within the cocoon
It soon emerges with wings of light
And makes its timeless flight
Soaring high into the sky
