Into the Badlands

Black tarantula walks the badland. So alone, perhaps he's lonely-- it's hard for me to comprehend. Black tarantula walks the badland. I'll follow him to journey's end carrying water and camera only. Black tarantula walks the badland so alone... perhaps he's lonely. Written 10/23/20 for Edward Ibeh's contest: Pick-A-Title, Vol. 24, Triolet

Neat! I just had to read this because the title grabbed me. I’ve been wanting to see the Badlands but I guess it’s a no go till this Covid junk goes by by. I was surprised to find it was about a tarantula! I never thought tarantulas get lonely but I guess they can. I like it!

Don't follow too close as tarantula hair is like fiberglass; it gets in your skin - or eyes - and stays there! Aloha! Rico

Whoa! Thanks for responding to my poem. The kind we saw when I was a kid was harmless, thank God. God bless you, Rico.
