Integrity

Integrity is something we acquire
by standing firm in honorable convictions.
Despite persecution we must persevere,
for having integrity requires having faith and courage
when we’re faced with trials or afflictions.

Integrity is not comfortable or easy.
It means supporting what is just and true.
Keeping calm and staying kind to everyone is key.
Integrity means practicing forgiveness too.
All these things I hope to better do.

Andrea you speak the truth about integrity - a quality lost on so many in our time. It is "not comfortable or easy" and more than likely feels like a size 6 shoe on a size 7 foot! In your simple and eloquent way you write great truths. Congratulations and high fives my friend!

Many have integrity. But others sold their souls to be number one in their group. No, am not speaking of leaders. It’s blessed to search our integrity. That is, if we have a clear definition of what it is. If you keep your word, you are a person of integrity. I would define it before saying people do not have it.... Judging! Ah, people’s pastime. Making ourselves right and others wrong. Especially if they made money! Only the poor have morals? Nonsense! Pangie

I sense anger from you, Pangie. I hope you don't think I am judging anybody with my poem. I also think I fall very short of this mark myself!! Hopefully you are just speaking your mind about all the corruption in today's world. Very understandable. It is hard to know how far to go or not go these days with so much disparity in people's opinions.

Integrity has nothing to do ...if you are a bum or Elon Musk.. Robin Hood-was not God. Nobody on earth is! TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR LIFE IS INTEGRITY. PEOPLE B.S, us about their truth. Then, blame leaders. I am fed up with that. Look in the mirror. Pangie

I think "standing firm in honorable convictions" is my favorite line, though there are many good ones. Being the same person regardless of circumstances, afflictions, or the whims of the crowd. I love the thought of staying kind too... something you do so well.
