Sometimes we let life's ups and down get the better of us and we tend to worry and fret over things we can't do anything about. The thiing we have to remember is that if life didn't have it's moments and trouble never raised it's head people would complain about being bored.

Besides, I think the reason we have times like that is because if we didn't have bad times we would never notice the good times. People tend to get a bit jaded. My mom used to say that some people would complain for the sheer enjoyment of it.

Didn't sleep today again. I'm going on adrenaline. The sheer will to carry on, Keep going till my strength is gone. I'm tired and my vision's blurred. To live like this is quite absurd. I worry and I toss and turn. You'd think somehow, someday I'd learn, That worry takes the joy from livin', With sleepless nights filled with misgivin's. I can't let worry weigh me down. I don't have time to mope and frown. I should learn to count my blessings, Then I'd have less trouble resting.

With respect to literary merits - a niftily rhyming masterpiece. And paying homage to its thematic substance: exceedingly helpful exhortative points. We've got to count our blessings, always....they're never few:-)

Nice penning Judy, you highlight a major problem for so many and it's not an easy one to conquer but probably stress is mostly one of the main factors. Take care and blessings always,Gordon

Hello Judy ... certainly insomnia makes the nights feel longer. It's frustrating and that just brings on more frustration. All the best to get through this Judy - Lindsay

Your wise advice is worthy of falling on wide-open ears, Judy! Of course life is full of mole hills, but why needlessly worry and turn them into mountains! ~ Warm regards // paul

Sounds like you've self-diagnosed the problem correctly. As a survivor of severe insomnia -- still have a slight case -- I can attest to the fact that it's mostly self-imposed stress that triggers it... Sleep tight! :) gw
