Infodemic Rant

conspiracy theories usually hide ...
       in the shadows .. but as Covid spreads
         across the globe baseless opinions and 
     conspiracies have spread like fire 
by people with limited actual knowledge
          using a lot of guesswork
                          and the propaganda flourishes

 ~  people with no training in virology speak
          like experts and social media users speak like
high level intelligence officials ~
                       
'the covid detectives tell their wild tales with wooden faces'   

          viral misinformation is exploding everywhere
                        and I am lost in a sea of theories
     with weak or no evidence of any kind
        these are the sort of people who also
   are in climate denial, refuse to believe there is
            prejudice,  that guns are okay, and are just 
                            plain negative about just about 
                   everything happening in the world

     ~ coronavirus is the same as the flu 
masks don't work, vaccines won't work and will poison
                             our bodies... its all a hoax ~ 

         'and a snake slithers across the sand'

I have heard and read things like 
      covid 19 is a genetically engineered bioweapon that
  escaped a lab in China .. that the US helped create it and 
             conspire to hide the truth
                       that China stole the virus from Canada ...
that the pandemic is being used to depopulate the world
                              (well, that is working if true)

        'and grass grows greener in graveyards'

 ~  the purpose of isolations, business closures
                  wearing masks and vaccines is to enslave humanity 
  and they have the false misleading information to prove it  ~

' a fatal theory wings its way across the land like a bird of prey'

                       I have heard that the pharmaceutical
     industry is involved in the spread of coronavirus around 
              the world ... that, 5G high speed wireless technology
                      is helping to spread it, and it goes on and on ...

                                ' and the drum of time rolls and rolls'

  ~  I am not telling anyone what to believe, that is 
          for you to decide ... but I will get the vaccine ...I will wear
a mask and wash my hands and stay home when required
                    because ... I do NOT intend to be one of 
            the millions or is it billions that  
... while clouds sail across the sky are burned or buried 

       "and this is my rant, my whine, my whimper, my wail"
                                   and I can, and I will
                                            end now

Suzette Richards Date: 7/1/2021 10:54:00 AM I feel your pain. Ignorance seems to be bliss - until the pandemic touches a loved one or a colleague, then it is no longer a topic for speculation. Like you, I had my jab, still wear a mask, and (as my mother used to say): Soap and water are magic to keep healthy. My best friend is in early forties and will not take the vaccine...primarily because of the mixed messages regarding its safety and effectiveness. I know the virus is real, and I've taken the vaccines. Thank you. Thank you! Login to Reply Constance La France Date: 6/24/2021 11:29:00 AM Milt, thank you for the compliment, yes, I have a few friends like yours who will not take the vaccine, one likes to travel so she might as well forget about doing that anymore as without proof of a vaccination will not be able to from Canada or returning, vaccination records will have to shown and I support that and crossing borders even within Canada may be out too, as well as crossing from Canada to the US and do I, even want to be around someone who is in denial, just too risky, peace _Constance
