Infinite love, infinite mercy,
Infinite grace to your chosen ones,
How could our finite minds ever fathom
Your infinite love for us?
Silent the skies in the beginning,
Words of creation poured from your tongue,
All to reveal your eternal purpose,
Your infinite love for us.
Prophets had long told of your coming,
Long had your own awaited your birth,
Long had the angels echoed your glory
Your infinite love for us.
Born in the cold, cattle were feeding,
Full was the inn; too full for God’s Son,
How could our finite hearts have the room for
Your infinite love for us?
Perfect in birth, perfect in living,
Perfect obedience – death on the cross,
Only in Jesus can we discover
God's infinite love for us.
