Indiscernible
It falls inches from my toe,
This missile from origins wild;
Hurled by an unknown foe
Yelling indiscernible cries of war.
Why I caught his malevolent eye
And became chief target of his ire
Neither guess nor fathom I;
Yet his target I’ll ever remain.
And this senseless war
I now must tearfully wage,
And counter mischievous
Blows and baseless rage.
Whether I’ll victorious grow
Or in the end terribly lose,
Or merely settle for a draw,
High heaven alone knows.
