In Twenty Years From Now

In twenty years from now, should I survive with no worse complications of my health, I would be grateful just to be alive in spite of lacking monetary wealth. I’d love to travel, do a cruise or two, and visit friends I’ve met by internet. But I suppose that I’ll be making do with simple things that I’ve not tired of yet - Like chatting with my sisters and my friends, preparing meals and writing poetry, and also, I expect (if God intends) a great-grandmother by that time I’ll be! In twenty years, if I can get my way, my life will be much as it is today. May 1, 2017

I like your words well enough. But in 20 years I'll be 81. So I don't know about that :) Hey I posted 3 new poems last night. The Girl and The Maze Keeper & two others :)

I'm surprised this one was not on the list as it for me is one of the most enjoyable I have read. It has an easy contented feel to it.

Oh this is great Andrea. I could not be so positive as you can because in twenty years I know I won't be here. I will be 99 on July 7. I have not been having many troubles considering but have been having eye trouble so don't always feel like getting on computer. I have lost my rating of being one of the winners and it will be hard to catch up again. Love, Joyce

This poetic trip though the heart is, thought provoking, descriptive, and creative all rolled up into a beautiful poem. This poetically describes a woman experiencing a flood of emotions, while pondering her future years. Well written. Emile. #7

May you be healthy in twenty years from now and all other things will come as you wish them to dear, Andrea! For one thing I am certain though that even after twenty years your charm will not have faded... a bit! PS: If I am alive, I will check again in twenty years to see how you are doing! Haha!

:) Lovely write...as usual. "preparing meals and writing poetry"....sounds good to me. Can I change the preparing to enjoying meals! ;) Ahhhhh....now that would be great. Being pampered and served and writing verse...Good luck in the contest.
